The Cat Who Came In From the Cold is written by British writer Deric Longden.
It is the story of a white kitten who was seen sitting out in the rain by the author and taken in. Thus begins the exploits of "Thermal"s life. This story will have you chewing your nails in one instance, despairing in another and laughing out loud the next. Written in a decidedly humorous style, it still conveys the pathos of a young kitten just learning about life, and about the adventures that befall him and his owners. There is something about animal stories from the UK that always appeals to me. I found this book used on Amazon. Look there or in used books stores, possibly Kindle. A delightful peep at life in an English village, I believe it is in Yorkshire, and into the lives of Deric, his legally blind wife who is, herself, an author, and, of course, Thermal. There is also a lovely lady cat named Tigger, who has much to teach Thermal. And Thermal and Tigger have much to teach their humans. Guaranteed an afternoon's enjoyment, maybe even two.
